The Walser Building at Elora Mill: 9 New Rooms and Gorge Views

There’s a stone building across the river from Elora Mill that’s about to open its doors again after 173 years of fires, industry, and sitting as a roofless ruin.

The Walser Building starts welcoming guests this October. Nine new hotel rooms sit inside walls that local masons rebuilt by hand, using the same traditional techniques that have defined Elora for generations. One of them is the Walser Suite on the top floor, with a private terrace, dining room, and views that stretch straight across the gorge.

Every room shares access to a rooftop hot tub perched right above the water. Book all nine rooms together and the whole rooftop becomes yours for the night. Downstairs you’ll find a new Bardō restaurant and a flexible Riverview Room that works well for smaller gatherings or team dinners.

It’s the eighth heritage restoration on the property, and it sits just far enough from the main Mill to feel like its own quiet corner of the village.
