It’s International Dog Day! Pup-Approved Travel with Fairmont Hotels

Today marks International Dog Day and with the addition of pets being significantly over the past year, more people than ever are looking to bring their fur babies on vacation.

With pet travel on the rise, world leading hospitality group Accor is pampering pets and owners alike with these pup-approved properties across North & Central America. From complimentary dog beds, water bowls treats and toys to curated menus, walking guides and dog sitting services, here are some of the top pet-friendly hotels for a tail-wagging good time.

Hotel Fairmont Palliser

Pets prepare to be Pampered at the Pawlliser with the new pet package from Fairmont Palliser. This package includes a half-day of doggie daycare at The Petropolitan inclusive of pet massage, brush out, bandana and cologne spritz. Back on property, pets will enjoy Chef’s Charcuterie & Barkuterie Boards, housemade treats from the hotel’s pastry team, complimentary beds and bowls and a $10 charitable donation will be made per stay to Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society (AARCS).

Fairmont Waterfront

Fairmont Waterfront is ready to roll out the red carpet for your four-legged family member. With complimentary water bowls and beds provided upon check-in, locally made welcome treats and nearby walking areas, pups will feel right at home at this pet-friendly luxury hotel in Vancouver. Dog sitting, walking and doggie daycare is also available and can be coordinated directly at the hotel.

Fairmont Le Château Montebello

Fairmont Le Château Montebello recognizes that pets are members of the family, which is why the property is pleased to welcome furry VIPs (Very Important Pet). Furry guests can enjoy services such as pet babysitting services, food bowls and crates, and a picturesque 4.7 km walking trail around the resort. Additionally, the hotel is home to two Canine Ambassadors, Vic & Bello.

Fairmont Banff Springs

Pets are welcome at Fairmont Banff Springs for a cleaning fee of $50, with a maximum of two pets per room. $15 of this fee will be donated to the local Bow Valley SPCA, Canada’s only no kill, no cage adoption centre. Service dogs are always welcome at no charge. The hotel’s VIP (Very Important Pet) guests can enjoy in-room water bowl, bed and tasty treats upon arrival, as well as pet-sitting services are available for an additional charge and pet-friendly patios. To make stays even more unforgettable, the hotel’s friendly and energetic Canine Ambassador named Bear welcomes guests with open paws and joins the Resort Activities team for guided Wilderness Walks in the national park.
