A Spring Escape at Hotel X Toronto: Lake Views and Quiet Mornings

Toronto in spring hits different. The city shakes off winter, the waterfront comes alive, and you get comfortable weather for walking without the summer crowds. I spent a few days there recently and stayed in a 1 King Bed Deluxe room at Hotel X Toronto. It struck the right balance between relaxation and easy city access.

The room measured about 360 square feet and featured a king bed that felt luxurious thanks to the pillow-top mattress. What sold me were the oversized windows and nine-foot ceilings. You wake up to clear views of Lake Ontario. The bathroom delivered too: granite counters and a glass-enclosed shower, stocked with BYREDO Bal d’Afrique products that made every shower feel like a treat. A robe, slippers, a Nespresso machine, free water, and a mini fridge rounded it out nicely.

The hotel sits on six acres of landscaped gardens at Exhibition Place, right by the water. Spring is an ideal time to visit because everything starts to green up and bloom around you.

The rooftop pool stays heated between 80 and 85°F year-round and features both indoor and outdoor sections. Even on cooler spring mornings, it was pleasant to swim while looking out at the skyline. The 10XTO Athletic Club offered free gym access with great views, and the complimentary Tesla house car service handled drop-offs within five kilometres, simplifying trips into the core neighbourhoods.

If you’re thinking about a spring trip to Toronto and want a place that feels like a quiet retreat without being disconnected from the city . Book a room with a lake view if you can. The combination of space, comfort, and practical touches made the getaway smoother and more enjoyable.
