Marugame Matsuri: Marugame Udon’s Grand Arrival in Vancouver

After a hugely successful soft launch in February, Marugame Udon’s first Canadian location at 589 Beatty Street officially celebrated its grand opening with a vibrant Matsuri festival.

Guests were treated to live Taiko drumming performances, a chance to meet the Marugame Udon team, and of course, a taste of their renowned Sanuki-style udon in kake-dashi broth and crispy tempura.

Special appearances by distinguished guests like Victor Hisao Misawa (President of Marugame Udon International), Consulate General of Japan in Vancouver Deputy Consul General Satomi Okagaki and Economic Consul Keiji Hisata and the City of Vancouver Councillor Sarah Kirby-Yung added to the celebratory atmosphere.

Marugame Udon offers a unique dining experience. Diners can watch their meals being prepared in a theatre-style kitchen, ensuring freshness and quality in every bowl of udon.
