Subway Canada’s Latest Menu Innovation: Signature Rice Bowls

Subway announced the launch of its most innovative menu item yet: all-new Signature Rice Bowls! Canadians’ favourite Subway sauces, fresh veggies and crave-worthy proteins can now be enjoyed on a bed of Brown, Red and Wild Rice – oh, and NBA Rookie of the Year Scottie Barnes seems to think they’re well worth the taste-test.

Joining the likes of Mark McMorris, Leylah Fernandez, Mark Messier and Andre DeGrasse – Scottie Barnes of the Toronto Raptors becomes Subway Canada’s newest athlete ambassador and will be featured in Subway TV spots and social promotion throughout the fall to highlight the new menu item.

Signature Rice Bowls

– Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki: Featuring grilled chicken and sweet onion teriyaki sauce

– Crispy Chicken Bacon & Peppercorn Ranch: Featuring crispy chicken, Maplewood Smoked Bacon and creamy Peppercorn Ranch sauce

– Green Goddess Veggie: Featuring the tangy and flavourful Green Goddess Dressing

– Southwest Steak & Avocado: Featuring steak made with Canadian Seasoned Beef, Smashed Avocado and Southwest sauce

Later this month, Torontonians will have the chance to experience an epic and immersive pop-up event hosted by Scottie Barnes himself! Bowlway will take place at SPACE on King (300 King St E) from 5:00 p.m. until 9:0 p.m. ET on Thursday, October 27th. This open-doors event will include Rice Bowl sampling, games, photo opps and the chance to meet Scottie himself!
