Ocean Wise Chowder Chowdown Vancouver: Celebration of Sustainable Seafood

Canada’s favourite sustainable seafood celebration is back! The Ocean Wise Chowder Chowdown returns to Vancouver on Thursday, October 12th, at the Robert H. Lee Alumni Centre at UBC.

Twelve accomplished chefs will compete for the title of 2023 Chowder Champion, serving up their signature chowders made with Ocean Wise Recommended seafood. Attendees will have the chance to sample each chef’s creation and cast their vote for the People’s Choice Award.

In addition to delicious chowder, attendees can enjoy complimentary craft beverages from East Van Brewing Company, Faculty Brewing Co, Harmon’s Craft Brewing, North Point Brewing Co, Off The Rail Brewing, Powell Brewery, Shaketown Brewing, Stanley Park Brewing, Steamworks Brewing Co, and Superflux Beer Co.

Chowder Chowdown is more than just a food event. It’s a chance to learn about sustainable seafood and support Ocean Wise’s work to ensure a healthy ocean for generations to come.
