Award-winning, BC-based Kitchen Table Restaurants introduces the newest member of its ever-growing family of establishments today by opening the doors of its new quick-service coffee bar Super Veloce in the lobby of Vancouver’s Shaw Tower (1067 West Cordova Street).

Located in the heart of Coal Harbour, Super Veloce (‘Super Fast’ in Italian) is a unique Italian-meets-West-Coast experience offering guests an array of high-powered bottled smoothies, nutritious quick meals, snack foods, and authentic espresso-based beverages.

Developed under the guidance of Kitchen Table Restaurants’ Culinary Director Alex Tung, Super Veloce’s health-conscious food and drink program has been designed with a strong focus on nourishing ingredients and premium flavours. With seasonal salads, macro-friendly power pastries, and performance-enhancing snacks made with nutrient-rich superfoods, the inclusive menu features a variety of vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free, and sugar-free options.

Menu highlights include bottled high-protein smoothies available in three signature flavours with the option to add on energy-boosting supplements such as maca, pine pollen, glutamine, and collagen; protein-based doughnuts – ‘Pronuts’ – made with a choice of vegan or whey protein in tempting varieties like chocolate coconut and vanilla cherry; and eco-conscious Italian-inspired salads served in reusable glass jars that can be returned for a discount on future orders. Four-legged visitors will even have a chance to chow down with an offering of dog treats made with chicken liver, sweet potato and rice.

Situated in an airy, light-filled interior surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows, Super Veloce will preserve the same open-concept design and décor from the renowned Japanese architect Kengo Kuma — the visionary behind the highly acclaimed design of the new Olympic Stadium in Tokyo. The coffee bar will offer a picturesque outdoor patio and indoor seating in an impressive three-storey glass atrium appointed with a carbon-fibre, moon-shaped bar seating with tension cables positioned around a towering column that complements the caffè’s state-of-the-art custom carbon-fibre Victoria Arduino ‘Eagle One’ espresso machine.

Open daily, Super Veloce is the third establishment recently opened by the award-winning hospitality group, including the Northern-Italian inspired wine-and-cicchetti bar giovane bacaro — located in the Coal Harbour district — and the Italian-Chinese inspired culinary experience known as Miantiao, now open in the Shangri-La Hotel, Vancouver.
