Granville Island Brewing Celebrates 38 years in Vancouver with a Huge Birthday Bash

On May 14th, Granville Island Brewing is kicking off the warmer months with a free, fun for the whole family celebration! This year, Canada’s original microbrewery turns 38 and to commemorate the landmark anniversary, Granville Island Brewing will be hosting an unforgettable birthday party featuring samples from local food trucks, award-winning brews (including their recently reintroduced Peach Sour), games, and arts and live entertainment suitable for the whole family including:

– Pop-up performances by Teon Gibbs & Clear Mortifee

– Energetic contemporary beats from Hitmen Drumline

– Live painting from Vancouver Mural Fest artists

Each guest will receive a complimentary sample-sized food item, and guests 19+ will receive a take-home can of Peach Sour. Brews at the event will be on sale for $5 (for guests 19+) with partial proceeds going towards the Vancouver Art Therapy Institute. Space for the event is contributed in partnership with the Granville Island CMHC.

The party will be taking place on Saturday, May 14, from 12 pm – 9 pm on Granville Island. To register for a timeslot, please visit www.bookwhen.com/gib. Registrations are encouraged but, as the event will be free-of-charge for all participating guests, walk-ins are also welcome!
