Ciclo Espresso, part of the Social Corner Group of restaurants which owns and operates Per Se Social Corner and Acquafarina, will be expanding with two new locations both set to open later this year in Coal Harbour and Downtown Vancouver respectively.

Located on Cordova Street across from the Shaw Tower and the Fairmont Pacific Rim, Ciclo Espresso & Cocteles will focus on serving fine Italian espresso by day and artisan cocktails at night. Downtown dwellers and office workers will find sweet treats, Spanish lattes, and cortados starting at 7:00AM. Ciclo currently uses 100% Arabica beans and their own proprietary roast at their Homer Street location and will continue a commitment to coffee excellence with this latest expansion. Pastry lovers will find plenty of biscotti and croissants while those with more savoury appetites will soon enjoy cheeses, Iberico ham and a variety of charcuterie. Come late afternoon, Ciclo Espresso will transition into a focus on Cocteles, with artisan creations from Barry Jackson, Bar Director for Social Corner Group. Guests can expect Spanish and Italian inspired cocktails to be poured late into the evening accompanied by tapas style small bites. The location will have a total of 25 seats inside, plus 15 outdoor patio seats and some additional seating in the lobby of the attached MNP Tower. Ciclo Espresso and Cocteles is slated to open in Fall of 2023.

Shortly thereafter, Ciclo’s next location will open in the heart of West Georgia Street at 401 West Georgia. A standalone location, Ciclo Espresso & Focaccia will operate out of a chic matte black shipping container designed specifically for takeaway. Located just next to Acquafarina, this will be the only central outdoor coffee bar in this section of West Georgia Street. As the name suggests, Ciclo Espresso & Focaccia will serve fine espresso and an array of focaccia sandwiches made from scratch by Chef Christopher Janik who previously worked as a pastry chef in France before joining the Social Corner Group in 2019. While the final menu is still in development, customers can look forward to several delicious focaccia sandwich options such as Italian mortadella with pistachio mousse, and porchetta with truffle paste.

Opening in late 2023, Ciclo Espresso & Focaccia will operate from 8:00AM to 5:00PM, providing nearby office workers with plenty of espresso, lattes and focaccia to fuel their day. Come summer, the adjacent courtyard patio will be open for anyone who wishes to linger a little longer over coffee and freshmade focaccia.

Finally, Ciclo’s original location at 891 Homer Street will soon introduce a focus on biscotti and be known as Ciclo Espresso & Biscotti. Chef Janik creates all pastries and biscotti from scratch in-house daily, and guests will soon see a variety of new biscotti on offer with 20 different variations available soon.
