Casa Mia Cucina & Mercato to Open in West Vancouver this Spring

Throughout Italy, the town square — bordered by cozy trattorias, bars and mercatos — is the vibrant heart of the community. It’s where neighbours meet to catch up, where ingredients for dinner are picked up on the way home, and where simple, delicious meals are enjoyed with family and friends.

It’s this spirit of the Italian town square that arrives in West Vancouver this spring, when Casa Mia Neighbourhood Cucina & Mercato opens at 2215 Marine Dr. this spring.

Created by the team that introduced Vancouver to Italian bakery-caffè Sciué in 2005, Casa Mia is an evolution of the original downtown concept. As well as Italian espresso drinks and fresh-baked breads and pastries, the new neighbourhood spot will offer flavourful plates for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner, including housemade pastas and rustic pizzas influenced by celebrated regions of Italy.

At happy hour, a curated list of snacks and aperitivo will be on deck, while creamy gelatos are on offer for an anytime treat; and for those cooking at home, an array of ingredients and items made in-house or imported from Italy can be picked up to go.

At Casa Mia, all are welcome and will be sure to experience the familiar comfort of a community gathering place, just like an extension of their own homes. Further details on Casa Mia, including food and drink menus — will be released in the coming month.
