Theatre Under The Stars Brings The Little Mermaid to Life in Stanley Park

Looking for something fun to do in Vancouver this summer? Head to Stanley Park for Theatre Under The Stars, where Disney’s The Little Mermaid runs at the outdoor Malkin Bowl through August 22, 2026.
The musical stays true to the animated movie you probably grew up watching. Ariel trades her voice to the sea witch Ursula for human legs, then relies on her underwater friends to help break the curse before time runs out. You’ll hear all the classic songs, including “Part of Your World,” “Under the Sea,” and “Kiss the Girl.” Local actor Madison Simms stars as Ariel, with Nicol Spinola directing.
Regular shows start at 8:00 p.m., but doors open at 6:00 p.m. Arrive early to grab snacks, find your seat, and soak in the park’s evening atmosphere. The show runs about two and a half hours, including a 20-minute intermission.
Got kids who can’t stay up late? Plan your night around a Monday. TUTS runs special Family Nights every Monday through mid-August, with an earlier 7:00 p.m. start time.
Pack a blanket or light jacket for when the night air turns crisp, and enjoy a night out in the park. Grab your tickets at tuts.ca before the season ends.
