Benjamin: A New Parisian-Style Steakhouse is Opening in Montreal

Get ready for a new addition to Montreal’s dining scene. Benjamin Steakhouse Parisien, from the Gray Collection, is set to open its doors this November. This spot is all about mixing the classic steakhouse feel with the sophisticated style of a Parisian brasserie.
Benjamin aims to blend Montreal’s lively atmosphere with the cozy and chic vibe of Parisian eateries. The idea is to create a place that feels both nostalgic and modern. The restaurant’s design uses materials like leather, wood, velvet, and metal, combined with soft lighting to create a warm and inviting space.
Spanning two levels and 6,500 square feet, the restaurant will have seating for 120 people and a large summer terrace. The goal is to offer a setting that feels both intimate and upscale, a place for people to connect and share a good meal.
“With Benjamin, we wanted to reimagine the steakhouse for today’s Montreal, blending the generosity and soul of a Parisian brasserie with the quality and refinement that defines Gray Collection,” says Dimitri Antonopoulos, President of Gray Collection. He hopes Benjamin will be a place where people feel at home, whether they’re celebrating a special occasion or just enjoying a weeknight dinner.
The menu will focus on high-quality cuts of meat, dry-aged right in the restaurant and grilled. These will be served alongside seasonal side dishes made with ingredients from local Quebec producers. Benjamin will be open for breakfast, lunch, brunch, and dinner, so you can stop by for a coffee in the morning or settle in for a full evening meal.
The interior design, by Valérie Beauchamp of Espaces V, combines old-world charm with a contemporary touch. A custom mural by Canadian artist Candice Kaye will be a unique artistic feature in the space.
