A Parisian Holiday at Sofitel Montreal Golden Mile

The holiday season is finally here. If you are in Montreal and looking for a spot that feels festive and welcoming, take a look at the Sofitel Montreal Golden Mile. This year, the hotel is bringing a bit of French flair to the city. They are paying tribute to Paris and its history of street lights, and you will see this the moment you walk in. The lobby is filled with glittering lights and decorations that set a warm tone for the winter months.
One of the unique things they do is a Candle Ritual every evening. It is a nod to the 1860s when Paris first lit up its streets with gas lamps. At the hotel, they light candles as the sun goes down. It changes the mood of the lobby and makes everything feel cozy.
Dining at RENOIR
The hotel restaurant, RENOIR, has plenty planned for the holidays. Executive Chef Olivier Perret and Pastry Chef Paul Peyrat have put together some special menus to help you celebrate.
Christmas Eve and Christmas Day
On both December 24 and 25, the restaurant is serving a six-course dinner. It features dishes like Atlantic halibut with potato scales and Canadian Prime beef with foie gras. The meal finishes with a dessert created by Chef Peyrat. This dinner is $169 per person.
Christmas Day Brunch
If you prefer a daytime meal, there is a Christmas Day brunch on the 25th. It is a buffet style with seasonal seafood, roasted meats, charcuterie, and plenty of desserts. The price is $115 for adults and $58 for children 12 and under.
New Year’s Eve
When it comes to New Year’s Eve on December 31, you have two choices.
If you have plans for later in the night, you can grab the early dinner service between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. It is a three-course meal for $90 per person.
If you want to spend the whole evening at the hotel, the main gala starts at 8:30 p.m. This is a seven-course tasting menu that includes lobster and duck breast. It also comes with a glass of Pommery Apanage Champagne to toast the new year. That option is $249 per person.
Holiday Lunches and Dinners
You might also be looking for a place to host a holiday lunch or dinner with coworkers or friends before the main holidays hit. RENOIR has group menus available until December 21. You can get lunch for $65 or dinner for $92. These menus include seasonal items like salmon gravlax, roasted duck breast, and pasta.
Drinks at NINI
For something a bit more casual, you can head to the NINI Salon à Cocktails. From Tuesday through Thursday, they have live music and a relaxed atmosphere. It is a nice spot to sit back and enjoy a festive drink during the week.
Whether you want a big dinner or just a nice evening out with music, Sofitel Montreal Golden Mile has plenty of options this season. It is a great way to enjoy some French style right here in Montreal.
