Samsung 4K SUHD TV experience
Announced in CES 2016, I got to experience Samsung’s latest home theatre system. My first impression of the Samsung KS9500 was the gorgeous picture. The Series 9 is Samsung flagship SUHD Quantum Dot Display which expand the colour range to deliver up to a billion colours and up to 1000 nit brightness. In addition, Samsung’s 2016 SUHD TVs are Ultra HD Premium which means 4 times more resolution than standard HD TV. The curved TVs are available in 3 sizes: 55″, 65″ and 78″
Side by side between the 2016 and 2015 model, you can instantly tell the differences in the picture quality. The 2016 model has better dynamic range, shadow details and a wider spectrum of colours. We demoed the Martian in 4K Blu-ray, you can see micro details in the environment, spacesuit and actors. It’s pretty amazing.
Samsung’s HW-K950 soundbar is bringing the Dolby Atmos experience in the living room. The 5.1.4 system includes the soundbar, 2 wireless surround speakers, and a wireless subwoofer. It will be available this summer.
Samsung R7 is a wireless 360 multiroom speaker. The R7 feature a Ring Radiator technology which disperses sound evenly in all directions. With the Multiroom App, you can stream music from your smartphone or smartwatch throughout your house.
