Dyson 360 Eye – first intelligent robot vacuum

The Dyson 360 Eye is the result of $56 million worth of intensive research and development by a team of more than 200 Dyson engineers. The machine navigates your home efficiently and cleans with powerful suction.

Housed inside the body of the Dyson 360 Eye robot is the Dyson digital motor V2. Spinning at up to 78,000 rpm, this energy efficient motor generates twice the suction of any robot vacuum. Dyson’s robot uses Radial Root CycloneTM technology to effectively separate dust and dirt, capturing particles smaller than the width of a human hair.

Many robotic vacuum cleaners rely on sensors to find their way around a room. The Dyson 360 Eye robot sees its environment using a 360° vision system. The camera takes up to 30 frames per second – enabling the robot to effectively capture its surroundings. The machine then builds a detailed floor plan to intelligently and systematically navigate around a room and tracks its position – it knows where it is in the room, where it has yet to clean and uses infrared sensors to detect where obstacles lie. This allows the robot to clean intelligently, moving in an efficient, systematic pattern.

The Dyson Link app allows owners to view all of their Dyson connected machines, including the Dyson 360 Eye robot, but also the Dyson Pure CoolTM Link purifier fan and onwards to any other Dyson connected machines. Selecting the Dyson 360 Eye gives owners access to start, pause and stop their robot, view maps and statistics of cleaning sessions, and schedule single or daily cleans. And should you ever need it, the Dyson Link app has easy-to-follow troubleshooting guides. With all of this information so readily available, users can stay on top of their cleaning and take action remotely – whether they are home, at the office, or across the world.
