AskForTask Adds Moving Help to its Growing List of Services

AskForTask, the online marketplace helping users trusted, local help in real-time, today launches its moving services category starting at just $20 per hour. With 40 percent month-over-month growth, the company added moving services to meet the demand from its Askers and growing community. AskForTask is expanding quickly and moving services is an addition to AskForTask’s current cleaning and handyman services.

AskForTask’s movers – also known as Taskers –are verified based on government-issued identification through the platform. Using a smart algorithm, AskForTask ensures the Tasker assigned to the job has at least a 4-star rating and is located nearby to make booking a mover fast and easy. Users can also see where their Tasker is located via AskForTask’s new interactive map within its app.

“With back-to-school time upon us, our moving services are being used frequently for university students moving into dorms or off campus housing, as well,” said Muneeb Mushtaq, CEO of AskForTask. “We ensure our Taskers move Askers quickly and professionally to take the burden off our customers.”

Beyond the university setting, AskForTask’s services are also available to move furniture within a house, transport valuables in a car or van and also perform major moving with a truck and team of Taskers. The moving services are backed by the company’s new, free insurance policy, the first of its kind in Canada, which provides $1M coverage in the event of property damage or bodily injuries.
