Vancouver Mayor gets the YouTube parody treatment (video)

A video poking fun at Vancouver Mayor Gregor Robertson is making the rounds on YouTube just a couple of weeks before the civic election.

The cartoon features a song called Mayor Moonbeam and jokes about everything from downtown bike lanes and proposals for backyard chicken coops to the Occupy protest.

The song then depicts the mayor in a Vancouver Canucks jersey before he’s knocked over in the middle of a riot.

The party opposing Robertson in the election, the Non-Partisan Association, says it had nothing to do with the video.
