Suit up at Indochino Yaletown Showroom
While e-commerce has made shopping online painless with 1-click check out and free return, it can still be challenging finding the right fabric and getting the perfect fit. Since 2011, Indochino has seamlessly blend the old and new with its Traveling Tailor pop-up events across North America. It allowed men to get professional adviced and measured up for their new suits.
Due to demand and popularity, Indochino began setting up permanent showrooms in New York City, Boston, Beverly Hills, San Francisco, Philadelphia, Toronto and Vancouver. There are plans to have ten more locations open by the end of the year.
Indochino has relocated its new showroom concept in Yaletown. The new 4,000 square foot flagship store is modern, spacious and bright. While waiting for your appointment, you can sit back and relax on comfy leather sofas in the lounge area.
The showroom offer you the chance to experience a traditional suit fitting. There are large fabric panels to allow you to touch and feel the cloths.
You can also designed your own custom shirts with different collars and cuffs options. You can even personalized each shirt with a monogram. It’s very cool. Wrinkle-free shirts start from $79.
You can book your appointment online and the whole showroom experience is about an hour. The Indochino stylist will get you professionally measured and guide you on the latests suiting designs and endless customization options including buttons, vents, pockets, lapels and monograms. You will create a one of a kind custom suit from $449.
The finished suit will delivered in 4 weeks and you can return for a second fitting to make sure the suit fits perfectly. Indochino will cover the cost of alternation or will remake the suit for free.
Here’s an in-house tailor for any alternation needs. You will leave the showroom, looking dapper and sharp.
As the temperate cools, men need to start dressing seasonally. In Vancouver, where we have a mid-winter. You need to look for medium weight tweed and flannel to keep you warm. Here are my favourite fabrics for the Fall / Winter season.
The Luxury Camel fabric is part of the premium collection. It’s 68% wool & 32% silk. This wool blend offers all the benefits of wool with the added breathability and lightness of silk. It drapes beautifully.
The Midnight Blue Windowpane is a modern update on a classic plaid suit. It’s a 280 gsm, heavyweight fabric and 100% merino wool. It’s designed for cool climates and regular wear.
The Indigo Pebbleweave will keep you warm and looking good from Fall through Spring. It’s a Super 70s and 375 gsm weight. The 100% wool fabric breathes well and keep moisture away from your body for all day comfortable.
You can customized every aspect of your suit from the lapel, lining, vents, waist pocket, pick stitching to functional sleeve buttonholes.
All Indochino suit jackets are half canvassed with a fused fronts, full canvassed lapels, bullhorn buttons, lightweight shoulder pads and high quality collar felts. The suit will mould to your body over time.
Need a tux for the wedding? The Groom’s Lounge is an exclusive area for men getting married to enjoy a luxury shopping experience. The lounge is equipped with a foosball table & sofas.
It allow the groom and his groomsmen to have fun and relax, while suiting up for the big day.
