Contest! Sport Chek Robson Street flagship is now open

On May 12th, Sport Chek opened its 5th flagship store on Robson Street in Vancouver, BC. The 3 storey, 53,000 square foot stadium store merged bricks and mortar with the latest in-store technology. During our tour, we chatted with Paul Reid, VP of Store Operations, about the Sport Chek latest retail and tech innovations.

Key products are projected onto a hologram display where you can learn tech specs and watch digital content and video.

The new flagship housed in-store brand shops from Nike, Adidas, Under Armour, The North Face, Oakley, GoPro and FitBit. Each shop has its own unique brand experience and will carry the brand latest shoes, gears and apparels.

Want to improve your running? Gait analysis use high-speed cameras to capture your natural alignment and biomechanics. The Sport Chek expert can identify some postural and technique adjustments and suggest the correct running shoes for you.

The Interactive Video Wall, which is activated by gesture, allow you to watched product videos and get educated on bike, ski and snowboard equipments.

The entirely golf department is virtual, the golf kiosk will suggest products based on your need and ability. There are also multiple eCommerce kiosks and screens, throughout the store, that will allow you to browse SportChek.ca and shop with a streamline checkout process.

The new Robson Street store will bring the community together and has partnered up with The University of British Columbia to offer a Training Club. A community coordinator will post local events, training club schedules, staff bios, Facebook & Twitter photos onto the Community Wall.
