72 Hours Only: Tim Hortons Donut Supports 40,000 Canadian Athletes

Here’s an easy way to make a difference on your coffee run this week.
From January 30th to February 1st, Tim Hortons is selling its Special Olympics Donut. Best of all? 100% of the proceeds go directly to Special Olympics Canada. It’s a simple way to help more than 40,000 athletes with intellectual and developmental disabilities get into sports.
Since 2016, this partnership has raised over $5.2 million.
So, where does the money go? It supports local community programs across the country. For example, Active Start helps kids aged 2 to 6 learn basics like running and throwing. For kids aged 7 to 12, the FUNdamentals program teaches specific sport skills, nutrition, and how to be a good teammate.
It’s about more than just games. These programs help athletes build confidence, make friends, and feel included on and off the field.
The donut is a chocolate cake ring with white fondant, whipped topping, and colourful sprinkles. The design celebrates diversity and inclusion.
It’s only available for three days. So if you’re grabbing a coffee between Friday and Sunday, treat yourself to a donut. It’s a small purchase that makes a huge impact.
