Wolverine releases their limited edition Keystone Collection
Wolverine, the more than 130-year-old brand known for durable high-quality boots, introduces their limited edition Wolverine 1000 Mile Keystone Collection. The Keystone Collection honors Wolverine’s innovative founder, G.A. Krause, with two archival-inspired patterns for Fall 2016 including a wing-tip boot and a classic chukka.
Made in the USA, every component of these limited edition styles are handcrafted with the most premium materials available, including 24-karat gold plated and rhodium eyelets as well as Horween Leather Company’s Cambridge full-grain leather, exclusive to Wolverine. Cambridge is a pure vegetable tanned leather made using many of the same time-consuming processes and elements used to produce the company’s shell horsehide.
“We pay homage in the Keystone Collection to the craftsmanship, quality and ingenuity that have been hallmarks of Wolverine since the beginning,†said Roger Huard, Vice President of Product Development – Wolverine. “We partnered with Horween Tannery to create Cambridge leather – a unique hundred percent veg-tanned leather that combines a rich grain with a supple feel. We detailed this luxurious leather with premium hardware and crafted them in two iconic patterns for a collection that nods to history but offers beautiful footwear for today.â€
Only 300 pairs of each pattern will be available. Each pair comes wrapped in limited edition packaging with a certificate of authenticity and a hand-numbered hangtag.
The Keystone Collection styles are available in the men’s Addison wing-tip and the men’s Charles chukka patterns. The Addison is available in Cordovan No. 8 with 24 carat gold features and the Charles is available in black with rhodium features. Both styles are crafted with Goodyear Welt construction with a leather outsole. The collection is available at Wolverine1000Mile.com, the Wolverine Company Store and at select retailers.
