Winter in the Okanagan: Holiday Happenings at BC’s Top Wineries

The holiday season is just around the corner, and the Iconic Wineries of British Columbia are rolling out a festive lineup of events and offerings that are sure to make your spirits bright. This year, it’s all about creating memories, with a wonderful mix of hands-on workshops, delicious culinary experiences, and unique gift ideas.
According to Angelica Palladino, VP of Guest Experience at Iconic Wineries of British Columbia, the focus is on more than just what can be wrapped. “Our holiday offerings are enhanced by not only what people can wrap, but also experiences that can be remembered,” she says. “Guests can learn skills, craft something with their hands, gift extraordinary wine expressions of the Okanagan Valley and access experiences not available anywhere else in the world.”
Get Creative with Holiday Workshops
If you’re looking to add a personal touch to your holiday decor, CedarCreek Estate Winery is hosting a Holiday Wreath Crafting session on Saturday, December 6th. Led by floral designer Kelle from Floral Therapy, you’ll learn how to create a beautiful wreath from fresh foliage and fragrant evergreens. You’ll leave with your own creation and the skills to make more at home.
For those who love to cook, Mission Hill Family Estate is offering a series of chef-led culinary classes from November 1st through March 14, 2026. You can learn to prepare a four-course meal in various styles, including Italian, Indian, and French. Each class, designed for 2 to 6 participants, includes wine pairings with each course.
And for a truly unique and relaxing experience, Road 13 Vineyards is introducing Pages & Pours on select dates in November and December. This new offering pairs guided journaling with a curated wine tasting for a reflective and memorable activity.
Festive Food and Wine Pairings
The holidays are a time for indulging, and the wineries of BC have you covered. Starting November 22nd, Mission Hill Family Estate will be serving festive two-course lunches and three-course, family-style dinners, both featuring seasonal ingredients and wine pairings.
For a more intimate dining experience, CedarCreek’s Chef’s Table at Home Block restaurant offers a personalized five-course meal paired with wines from their Aspect and Library collections.

Mission Hill Family Estate’s Festival of Trees returns for its ninth year, running from November 22, 2025, to January 4, 2026. This beloved event includes estate tours, wine tastings, and seasonal refreshments, with a portion of the proceeds supporting the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation. Over the past eight years, this event has raised over $330,000 for the foundation.
On November 23rd, CedarCreek Estate Winery will host its “Lighting of the Vines” event. Enjoy a glass of wine or hot chocolate as you watch the ceremonial illumination of the estate vineyards, and browse the Holiday Sip & Shop Market featuring local artisan vendors.
For a cozy and casual experience, you can reserve a spot at CedarCreek’s “Après” fireside seating. Snuggle up with blankets, enjoy by-the-glass wine tastings, and take in the beautiful vineyard views.
