Gear Up Like a Rebel: Columbia’s New Star Wars Endor Collection

If you are a fan of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, you probably remember the forest moon of Endor. It’s where the Rebel Alliance teamed up with Ewoks to take down the shield generator. That dense, green landscape is the inspiration behind the newest collaboration between Columbia Sportswear and Lucasfilm.

The design team at Columbia went deep into the archives to create something that feels authentic. Erin Steele, a special projects manager for the company, mentioned that the landscape around their headquarters in the Pacific Northwest looks just like Endor. It feels like a natural fit. After visiting Skywalker Ranch and seeing the original costumes up close, the team was motivated to recreate that specific look. They even used real spray paint to design the camouflage pattern so it would match what you see in the film.

The Endor Collection is significant because it allows for a full head-to-toe outfit. Here are a few highlights from the release.

The General Han Solo Trench

This is a versatile 3-in-1 jacket. You can wear the vest and the shell together or separately, depending on the weather. The designers included a gold thermal-reflective lining to hold in body heat, and they incorporated a Rebel thermal pattern into the material. It is a subtle nod to the Alliance that keeps you warm without adding too much bulk.

The Endor Issue Poncho

Inspired by the gear worn by Luke and Leia, this poncho is waterproof and breathable. It features premium pleating on the hood and back, along with an adjustable belt to get the fit just right. It is built to handle rain, wind, or whatever else nature throws at you.

The Endor Issue Pant

This is actually the first time Columbia has made special-edition Star Wars pants. They are built for comfort and utility, featuring that custom camo print and plenty of zippered pockets. They also have an integrated belt and a Rebel Alliance patch.

For the Kids: Ewok Fleece

This might be the cutest part of the release. There is a high-pile fleece jacket inspired by the Ewoks, complete with ears on the hood. It comes in youth and toddler sizes, and there is even a bunting version for infants.

This collection holds a lot of meaning for the people involved. Billie Lourd, the daughter of Carrie Fisher, stepped in to model some of the key pieces. She noted that watching her mother in Star Wars feels like watching home videos.

Lourd modelled the poncho inspired by her mom’s character, Leia, and had her own children wear the Ewok fleece. She described the experience of being in the redwoods with her family as magical. It was a way to honour her mother’s memory while creating new ones with her kids.

How to Get It

The Endor Collection arrives on Thursday, December 11, 2025.

If you are a member of the Columbia Greater Rewards program (which is free to join), you can start shopping early at 9:30 AM EST on the Canadian Columbia website. For everyone else, the collection opens up 30 minutes later at 10:00 AM EST. You can also look for these items at select Columbia retail stores.

These collections tend to sell out quickly, so if you have your eye on that trench coat or the Ewok fleece, you might want to be ready right when they launch. May the Force be with you!
