Escape the Everyday at The Nordic Spa in Downtown Vancouver

Feeling like you need a reset? A way to unwind and recharge, right in the heart of the city? The Fairmont Pacific Rim has brought back its seasonal Nordic Spa, and it’s a wonderful way to find a little peace and quiet.
Located on the hotel’s sixth-floor pool deck, this outdoor thermal experience is all about hydrotherapy. It involves moving between hot and cold temperatures to benefit your body and mind. Think of it as a cycle of warmth, coolness, and relaxation.
The experience is self-guided, so you can move at your own pace. You’ll start with a dip in one of the three cold plunge tubs. It’s an invigorating way to begin and really gets your circulation going.
After the brisk cold plunge, you can retreat to the warmth of the therapeutic cedar plank sauna. The gentle heat helps to release tension and leaves you feeling deeply relaxed. Once you’ve warmed up, you can unwind in the dedicated rest areas. With plush sofa lounges, fire pits, and patio heaters, it’s easy to get comfortable. You’ll be given a cozy arctic robe to wrap yourself in while you take in the glittering lights and the surrounding views of the harbor and mountains.
To complete the cycle, you can repeat the sequence of cold and hot. The whole experience is designed to be both revitalizing and calming.
There are a few different ways to enjoy The Nordic Spa.
For hotel guests, access can be booked in one-hour time slots for $40.00. If you already have a treatment booked at the Fairmont Spa, you can add on The Nordic Spa experience for the same price.
If you’re a local and not staying at the hotel, there’s an option for you too. From Monday to Thursday, you can book a three-hour experience for $170.00. This package includes one hour at The Nordic Spa and also gives you access to the Fairmont Spa facilities. This means you can also enjoy the mineral bath, dry cedar saunas, steam rooms, and the spa terrace.
The Nordic Spa is available daily from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Keep in mind that this is a shared space, so you’ll likely be enjoying the amenities alongside other hotel guests. It’s a lovely way to spend a few hours focusing on your well-being, right in the middle of Vancouver.
