Tap & Barrel, Earls and La Taqueria opening soon at The Amazing Brentwood

The Amazing Brentwood is thrilled to welcome Tap & Barrel into its diverse mix of locally celebrated restaurants. Scheduled to open in early 2023 in one of The Amazing Brentwood’s most highly-coveted spaces, Tap & Barrel is poised to impress with an indoor-outdoor dining concept, an expansive rooftop patio, elevated comfort food, and some of the most remarkable views available to any restaurant in Burnaby. This news comes on the heels of last month’s announcement that Earls Restaurants will be opening a new Burnaby location at The Amazing Brentwood in 2022. Further expanding the curated collection of culinary offerings at the centre, La Taqueria is also set to join Tap & Barrel and Earls in opening on Brentwood Plaza in the coming months.

Once complete, Tap & Barrel will expand over three levels, boasting over 10,000 square feet of interior restaurant space and a sprawling 7,000 square feet of roof-top patio space. Known for creating award-winning patios in show-stopping locations, Tap & Barrel will be featured on Brentwood Plaza and will offer breathtaking views of the plaza, the Burnaby skyline, and beyond. To add to the experience, Tap & Barrel will offer an expansive bar program that will feature a bounty full of local craft beer and wines, as well as a curated food menu with dishes developed specifically for that location.

In another premium corner on Brentwood Plaza, The Amazing Brentwood’s foodie scene will continue to grow next summer when Earls Restaurants opens their new 231-seat location. Featuring a 50-seat seasonal patio, the outdoor space will be connected to the lounge by sliding glass windows, creating a seamless indoor-outdoor restaurant concept. The design of the restaurant will take on an earthy & refined approach while also showcasing vibrant local artists.

Rounding out the casual dining news from The Amazing Brentwood – and adding yet another appealing outdoor dining option for patio-lovers – the highly-anticipated La Taqueria will seat 80 guests and also feature retractable doors to connect to the Plaza-centric patio. La Taqueria will expand their brunch menu for The Amazing Brentwood location and is developing an entirely new cocktail menu helmed by esteemed bartender Juliana Wolkowski, formerly of Bar Raval. The store design will be led by Rafael Santa Ana Architecture Workshop, a sustainably-focused and collaborative design collective based out of Vancouver.
