McHappy Day is back on Wednesday, September 22nd

McHappy Day is back this year on September 22nd for its 27th edition and, for the first time, a portion of proceeds from every food and beverage item sold all day long from participating restaurants will support Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) and local children’s charities across Canada. From a morning coffee to one of the iconic burgers, ordering your faves will make a difference to the lives of families with sick children across the country.

In 2019, more than $6.5 million was raised for RMHC and its families on McHappy Day alone, and McDonald’s Canada has set a goal to make this year the biggest ever. Regional captions—a new addition for 2021—will include beloved Canadian athletes Bo Horvat (BC), Cassie Campbell (Prairies), Natalie Spooner (ON) and Jill Saulnier (Atlantic) rallying their communities to participate via social media.

Furthermore, there will be more ways than ever for Canadians to support McHappy Day. Guests can donate $5 or more, and receive a pair of exclusive Peace Collective McHappy Day socks (limited quantities so get them while they’re hot); and by purchasing a $2 McHappy Day digital Heart in-restaurant, guests will receive special video message via a QR code from Canadian celebrities and RMHC families – like Kyla and Bella Thomson, who have spent over 700 nights at RMHC while Bella was receiving treatment.
