Lay’s Canada debuts limited edition milk chocolate covered potato chips in time for Valentine’s Day

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Canada’s favourite potato chip brand is bringing chocolate and chip lovers together with the launch of Lay’s Wavy Milk Chocolate Covered Potato Chips. For the first time, Canadians will be able to enjoy a delicious harmony of rich milk chocolate with the perfect punctuation of sea salt and the light crunchy taste of a Lay’s Wavy Potato Chip.

Lay’s Wavy Milk Chocolate Covered Potato Chips are the brand’s first chocolate covered chip. With the highly successful launch in the US in December 2013, Canadian potato chip fans have been eager to see this unique flavour pairing available north of the border.

“While combining chocolate and chips may be new for Lay’s Canada, the demand for sweet and salty snacks is on the rise,” says Susan Irving, Senior Director of Marketing, Core Brands, PepsiCo Foods Canada. “Our fans wanted us to bring these chips to Canada – we listened and are delighted that this extra special product will hit store shelves just in time for Valentine’s Day”.

Lay’s Wavy Milk Chocolate Covered Potato Chips will be available across the country beginning in February, but only for a limited time. Suggested retail price is $4.49 per bag.
