Honolulu Coffee’s Newest Location Now Open In Olympic Village

Honolulu Coffee’s newest Vancouver location opens at 97 West 2nd Ave. in Olympic Village. The female-owned counter-service café offers 25 seats in a 985-square-foot space, along with a dog-friendly patio, and a Hawaiian-inspired food and beverage menu to offer guests a taste of the tropics.

To celebrate the opening, all visitors to Honolulu Coffee’s new location on Friday, September 30 between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. will receive a complimentary Hawaiian Latte, while supplies last. Lightly sweetened with a hint of coconut and macadamia nut flavours, the signature latte is among many hot and cold coffee beverages featuring Honolulu Coffee’s farm-to-cup coffee beans from Hawaii’s Big Island, grown on the lush slopes of the Mauna Loa Volcano and roasted in Kona.

“We are so excited to say ‘aloha’ and welcome our guests to our newest café,” says Ming Yang, owner of all three Honolulu Coffee locations in Vancouver. “We can’t wait to expand our Honolulu Coffee family into our new home, and introduce the spirit of aloha to Olympic Village.”

Along with a full menu of espresso-based drinks, cold brew, and drip coffee, the Olympic Village location will also offer Matcha and Chai Lattes, Tea, Hot Chocolate and delicious tropical Fruit Smoothies. Vancouver, like Hawaii, appreciates a healthy and nourishing bite, so guests are able to choose from a range of hearty or light food options, including the Breakfast Burrito with quinoa, scrambled egg, kale, Brussels sprouts, and mushrooms mixed with house-made Kona BBQ rub. Or, try one of Honolulu Coffee’s long-time fan favourite Açai Bowls, made of açai berries blended with a variety of fruits and topped with a range of gourmet toppings, including bananas, honey, house-made granola, toasted Macadamia nuts, hemp seeds, almond butter and coconut flakes. In addition to hearty breakfast options, sandwiches, and bowls, visitors will be tempted by the treats in the pastry case including Guava Bread, Macarons, Butter Croissants, Macadamia Nut Chocolate Chip Cookies, seasonal desserts, and more.

This latest location for Honolulu Coffee locally joins two sister locations in Vancouver: Honolulu Coffee Downtown at 888 Nelson St. and in the Kerrisdale neighbourhood at 2098 W 41st Ave.
