Every Night’s a Different Vibe: The Drake Hotel’s Weekly Dining Lineup

If you’re looking for a night out in Toronto that actually feels like a night out, not just another dinner, head to the Drake Hotel on Queen West.
For over 20 years, the place has drawn people in with its art, music, and food. Now they’ve leaned into it fully with weekly programming that pairs solid plates with the right soundtrack and atmosphere. They call it “vibe dining”: dinner that turns into something more. Start with a drink in the lounge, snap a photo in the old-school booth, then wander into whatever energy suits the evening.
Here’s how the week breaks down:
Monday: Prime Cuts
Steak night in the Drake Lounge, 6 to 10 p.m. An 8 oz bavette with whiskey peppercorn sauce and crispy hand-cut fries for $38, plus half-price bottles of wine. DJ Sinner & James keeps things rolling with chill house and deep bass.
Tuesday: Sushi & City Pop
Also in the lounge, 6 to 9:30 p.m. Chef-curated sushi boards run $37, with $7 Sapporo and $10 sake cocktails. DJ Gil Masuda spins smooth ’70s and ’80s Tokyo city pop: funk, jazz, boogie, soft rock.
Thursday–Saturday: Dinner with a Side of Sounds
Live piano reworks classic and current hits while you choose from a prix fixe menu or go à la carte. Thursdays run 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.; Fridays and Saturdays, 7 to 10 p.m. Good food, classic cocktails, and a relaxed NYC lounge feel.
Saturday: Drag Brunch with Miss Moço
Brunch becomes an event from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with Miss Moço and rotating guests. Mimosas, espresso martini towers, surprises, and plenty of fabulous energy.
Sunday: Slowbird Sundays
Nashville hot fried chicken (original or hot), hand-cut fries, coleslaw, gravy, and tres leches cake for $35. DJ Peamealbacon spins outlaw country, Americana, pop, and relaxed remixes. Sides like jalapeño cheddar cornbread or mac and cheese are easy add-ons at $10–12.
Every Day: Happy Hour (4–6 p.m.)
Mini-tinis, $5 beers, $7 house wines, mini Drake burgers, steak tartare, and more.
