Vans x SUMMER BUMMER Capsule

Vans unveils an exclusive women’s apparel and footwear capsule in collaboration with Venice-based brand SUMMER BUMMER. Designed in partnership with SUMMER BUMMER owner, Alexandria Cassaniti, Vans presents the multi-piece collection because “it’s always summer somewhere.” The Vans x SUMMER BUMMER collection contrasts the beach and the street, blending Vans D.I.Y aesthetic with SUMMER BUMMER’S hallmark black and white colour-block design and graphics. Cassaniti customized four Vans footwear silhouettes and highlights the debut of two sportswear-inspired sandals, the Vans Sandalia and Slide-On, with her bold graphics. The deconstructed Checkerboard Slip-On SF calls upon retro Vans styling with doodles on the sidewall, while the monochromatic Dazie-Hi takes a fun twist with a glow-in-the-dark Sidestripe and sidewall.

Bold apparel pieces round out the collection, with design influence drawn heavily from surf culture. Fashioned after a woman’s wetsuit, the zip-front Sum Bum Zip Dress is emblazoned with SUMMER BUMMER graphics along the colour-blocked side panels. The Sum Bum Tote takes the form of a traditional bucket bag and uses Cassaniti’s signature neoprene along the bottom, a Vans canvas upper and rope straps.
