SWIMS Unveils New Fall/Winter 2014 Collection

Norwegian lifestyle brand SWIMS is pleased to present its exciting new Fall/Winter 2014 collection for men. Founded in 2005 by Johan Ringdal, Oslo-based SWIMS has quickly evolved from a footwear brand known for reinventing classics, such as their highly successful galoshes and loafers, to an international lifestyle brand available at more than 800 high-end stores across the globe. For the Fall/Winter 2014 season, SWIMS stayed true to their core characteristics – water-friendly, innovative, high tech, fashionable, lightweight and fine Scandinavian design – and created a completely new line of footwear, accessories and outerwear for the colder season ahead.

George

Available in the lace, penny, chukka, derby and desert styles, the George line comes from the marriage between the SWIMS iconic summer loafer and the nostalgic New England moccasin, which is based on the traditional Norwegian loafer. It is built on a rugged, all weather outsole with an anti-slip profile, and the outsole, made in natural rubber, is turned up on all sides to enhance protection. Additionally, the seamlessly molded TPU wall around the shoe provides the structure, stability and protection expected of any ideal fall/winter shoe. In contrast, the uppers are made of fine, yet sturdy woven fabrics, bringing a luxurious finish to the shoe.

Luca

Based on its successful Spring/Summer 2014 introduction, the Luca sneaker, which is inspired by the German army sneaker, is available in more classic hues. It is extremely lightweight and breathable, and the entire TPU upper structure is molded directly onto the anti-bacterial mesh. The characteristics of the mesh allow for removal of lining making the product ultra breathable, quick dry and very comfortable. Natural rubber outsole with anti-slip grip and the sole is non-marking.

SWIMS Classic

The SWIMS Classic is the pioneering product behind the SWIMS brand. The essence of the product is entirely practical and should be a must-have for any gentleman. These overshoes allow you to wear your favorite leather shoes regardless of weather conditions, while also providing a classy look. Slip them on before walking through wet or muddy streets and simply slip them off when you arrive. Enhanced comfort is assured and your shoes will stay shiny and clean. The SWIMS Classic also comes with the “royal” finish, a velvet-like “flocking” detail on the galosh. In addition, the new Classic Spike is a classic SWIMS overshoe with integrated metal spikes – perfect for an extra grip on slippery and icy surfaces.

Lace, Penny and Sport Loafer

Since its introduction in Spring/Summer 2011, the SWIMS loafer has become the “it” boat shoe for the summer season. For the Fall/Winter 2014 season, SWIMS has included some lace, penny and sport loafers for vacationers, as well as those who live in warmer climates. The SWIMS loafers are extremely lightweight with an anti-slip sole, great breathability and offer a stylish shoe option that seamlessly travels from the beach or boat deck to the boardwalk. The Sport Loafer is a more active loafer, with a razor and anti-slip sole, perfect for any boating or yachting enthusiast.
