Review: etnies Scout
For the past 3 years my everyday uniform is mixing tailored pieces with sportswear. The etnies Scout fuses the aesthetic of a modern designer sneakers with functionally of a skateboard shoes. As the temperature drops, I’ve switch up my canvas Jack Purcell for something more durable and weather resistant. The scout is constructed with a fully-lined abrasion-resistant mesh body with an elastic heel support. The lightweight construction forms to your feet without feeling restrictive. For the past 2 weeks, it has been my go to shoes for running errands, commuting to work, and some light hike in Deep Cove. The STI Evolution Foam midsole & outsole combo is extremely comfortable and responsive with good arch support while running.
The Fall / Winter collection released brand new colour ways, prints and speckled soles. I’ve opt for the dark navy colour way with bright blue rope laces and speckled grey soles which add a pop of premium styling. It looks great dress up or down with shorts, jeans and chinos.
The Scout is part of etnies’ Buy a Shoe, Plant a Tree initiative. It’s a reforestation project to help rebuild Sao Paolo, Brazil’s Rainforest. In partnership with non-profit organization Trees for the Future, etnies will plant a tree for each pair of Scout‘s purchased. Since its inception in 2011, etnies has planted over 794,000 trees.
With an affordable price tag and sleek design, the Scout will be a hit this Fall season. Pick up a pair at etines.com.
