Review: Converse Chuck Taylor II Counter Climate Shield Canvas

It’s September and rain season is here. Converse has unveiled the Counter Climate Shield Canvas collection for Fall / Holiday 2016. The collection, which includes Chuck Taylor All Star, All Star II, Selene, Jack Purcell and Cons One Star, was designed to protect you from unpredictable inclement weather. The upper is made of heavy duty 18 oz. canvas with durable water repellent (DWR) treatment. Additionally, the medial eyelets has been removed and a gusseted tongue was added to keep the water out and your feet dry. The sneakers also featured reflective heel webbing and 3M roped laces to increase visibility in low light. Like all Chuck Taylor All Star II models, it has Nike Lunarlon insole, non-slip padded tongue and micro-suede lining for all day comfort.

The Converse Counter Climate Shield Canvas collection is now available in stores across Canada including Foot Locker, Sport Chek, Hudson’s Bay and Little Burgundy for suggested retail price of $90 – $95.
