YVR Bloggers 1 Year Anniversary Party!

We are excited to celebrate our YVR Bloggers 1 year Anniversary this Thursday, October 23, 2014! Since Oct 2013, we have held 12 YVR Bloggers Meetups, 5 Blog Mastery Workshops, and 10 YVR Bloggers Summer Adventures! In addition, we have grown our YVR Bloggers Facebook Group to over 1000 Vancouver bloggers!!

To celebrate our 1 year anniversary, we have an incredible event planned at the beautiful Jewel Ballroom overlooking Downtown Vancouver and False Creek – wait until you see the incredible view!! We have an amazing speakers line-up including our venue host Julie Connolly, our featured blogger Anne Shetty, our product specialist Greg Smith who will share about “Creating & Selling an Online Course on your Blog”, & our keynote speaker Dai Manuel talking about “Building your Blogging Brand” as well as incredible opera performance by the talented David Collins!

Julie is the owner and operator of Carte Blanche Management Inc., the umbrella company for Jewel Ballroom & Catering, Carte Blanche Events and Trulie Art. With over a decade of experience in the event and venue management business as well as 20 years experience in food and beverage, Julie brings a uniquely rounded perspective to any occasion.

Dai Manuel – Keynote Speaker

Dai has been monetizing his blog through multiple channels both on and offline. Currently, Dai works with a variety of brands on mid to long term contracts. Dai is on pace to earn $75K from my blogging etc this year. Best of all, Dai is currently at a 90% closing rate when pitching companies to partner with!

Anne Shetty – Featured Blogger

Anne is the happy wife of Ricky Shetty (also known as the Daddy Blogger and founder of YVR Bloggers) and mom to Rianne and Ryan. Inspired by her hubby’s passsion for life, Anne started her own blog, Anne Shetty.com, writing about her love for the arts and crafts. She enjoys painting furniture and sewing. She is also a huge supporter of her community where she writes about Hastings Street in Vancouver and talented artists in the area. Anne also created a community of artisans called YVR Artisans.

Anne will be sharing about the history and vision of her personal blog and her YVR Artisans group at tonight’s event!

David Collins – Opera Singer

David is a versatile Vancouver-based opera-singer who studied at the Conservatory School of Music, the Banff School of Fine Arts, and with some of the top voice coaches in Canada. David has been a soloist at St. Andrews Wesleys Church, a chorus singer with the Vancouver Opera, taught voice in Vancouver. Some of David’s repertoire includes O Sole MioTorna a Sorrento,Time to say Goodbye, If I can’t love her, Ombra mia fu, Ave Maria, Mi MancheraiI, and more!
