Young Women in Business (YWiB) Beyond Pink – November 2 – 3, 2012
Beyond Pink is an annual conference hosted by Young Women in Business (YWiB) and aspires to provide genuine growth opportunities to both young professionals at the outset of their careers, and to more seasoned experts looking to further advance their expertise.
As the only conference of its kind for young women in Canada, Beyond Pink aims for just the right mix of curious, ambitious young women to create an electric and productive weekend, set in beautiful Vancouver, BC. Through teaching, innovation, and interaction, our high-potential delegates learn the tools to create the career they’ve always wanted.
Disrupt to Construct. Redefine the Possible
In a world where a job for life is no longer a desire, and a five year plan needs revision after two, it’s time to disrupt the way we look at our careers and use our strengths and abilities to construct our own path. Bringing together over 200 young professionals, entrepreneurs and students, this year’s conference theme is Disrupt to Construct: Redefine the Possible.
The purpose is to:
- Uncover insight and provoke thought
- Instill interchange and collaboration between the young and the young-at-heart
- Enable delegates to uncover who they are, redefine the possible and construct new directions
The two-day conference will take place on November 2-3, at the Westin Bayshore Hotel in Vancouver, BC. The event will work around this year’s theme Disrupt to Construct: Redefine the Possible, with the first day highlighting the act of social and structural disruption and the second day focusing on the prospect of dynamic and innovative construction. Delegates will also be invited to our 6Degrees Exhibition, an evening MentorSHIP boat cruise, and the closing Beyond Pink Gala, on the evening of November 3.
Day One “Disrupt”
Urging delegates to identify their strengths, passions and potential, and to challenge the status quo. Workshops on day one entail empowering women to create and negotiate new opportunities, adopt innovative strategies and freshen up their routine.
Day Two “Construct”
Reconstructing expectations, building new relationships and creating a world of opportunity. Day Two workshops involve the notion of honing one’s approach, refining skills and reaching for continual development. We seek to inspire women to make a difference and leave an impact.
