Vancouver’s original fashion market is back! The 9th Annual Spend on Trend at Heritage Hall – September 14 – 16, 2012

Be one of the first to catch a glimpse of the hottest fall fashions at Vancouver’s original fashion market. Spend on Trend started in 2004 and is a platform for budding and established local designers. Find labels like Elroy, Daub & Design, Filou, Irit Sorokin, Carnal Design, and more!

Get ready to add something special to your fall wardrobe because Vancouver’s original fashion market is back! The 9th Annual Spend on Trend show returns to Main Street’s Heritage Hall from September 14-16, 2012.

“I love that Spend on Trend has been around since 2004,” says Fiona Louie, one-half of the production team. “Many established Vancouver designers have participated in the show and it’s nice to know that we have played a part in growing some local labels.”

Keep an eye out for noteworthy newcomers like Mulierose’s brand new eco line, Thinkhead’s graphic tees, Smitten’s soft and cozy knitted goods, Sugar and Candy’s handbags, and Creampuff by GG’s sweet underthings.

“You can’t go wrong with layering in Vancouver,” says Fiona. “It’s the perfect excuse to mix-and-match local designers. Try a Piknic Dress over Daub & Design leggings or an Elroy sweater with a knitted scarf by Smitten. Finish the look with accessories by Meiku Designs, Shi Studio, or Divina Deneuvo. The line-up for the show is so diverse that you can shop for your whole fall wardrobe!”

Watch out for Spend on Trend exclusives like new bracelets and rings by Filou, inspired by her travels through Europe and Africa, and Elroy’s up cycled wool poncho — it’s to die for!

“We are really proud of the Spend on Trend heritage,” exclaims Fiona! “We are attracting some new emerging designers and it is so exciting to see the Vancouver design community grow and flourish.”

Stop by Spend on Trend for some retail therapy on September 14 (5-9pm), September 15 (11am-6pm), and September 16 (11am-5pm) at Heritage Hall, located at 3102 Main Street.
