Vancouver Open Data Day Hackathon – February 23, 2013

Come work with data, combine different datasets together to gain a better understanding of issues, and find ways to solve problems and engage more effectively with government.

Agenda

9:00 am – 9:30 am – Registration, arrival, networking
9:30 am – Opening remarks by organizers and local dignitaries
9:45 am – OpenData Dating: participants get to meet various city and other government staff about the data they have, what could be released and what could be done with it
10:30 am – Project Sharing: participants outline what projects they will be working on for the rest of the day
11:00 am – 4:45 pm – Hacking, making, analyzing, writing and all other forms of open data work
4:45 pm – Debrief: Projects share what they have accomplished and learned during that day, share next steps and commitments
