Vancouver hosts Pokemon World Championship this weekend – August 9 – 11, 2013
Pokémon Trainers from around the world gather at the Vancouver Convention Centre for a last chance to enter the 2013 Pokémon World Championships!
Today, nearly 900 hopeful Pokémon Trading Card Game and video game players will compete in the 2013 Last Chance Qualifier tournament. This event gives these determined Trainers one final opportunity to earn an invitation to compete in the 2013 Pokémon World Championships. The high stakes will certainly lead to some intense battles!
For those Pokémon Trainers who have already qualified for a spot to compete in the 2013 Pokémon World Championships, today is a day to meet other Pokémon fans from around the world and prepare for the main event which begins on Saturday. Over 25 countries will be represented in this year’s World Championships, which for the first time ever takes place in Canada.
