Tonight is the finale of the 2016 Honda Celebration of Light

Perhaps the most eagerly anticipated fireworks show in Vancouver history kicks off tonight at English Bay as Disney Parks Entertainment, representing Team USA takes to the air in the finale of the 2016 Honda Celebration of Light.

Come downtown to experience the magic of Disney right in your own backyard! Residents of the lower mainland and tourists alike are expected to flock to Vancouver’s parks and beaches to catch the show. And don’t forget to support team USA by wearing your red, white and blue and post to social media using the hashtag #celeboflight and the American flag emoji.

The fireworks will begin promptly at 10:00 p.m., rain or shine, from the barges located in English Bay. Music simulcast can be heard on LG 104.3 FM and through the festival’s mobile app.

The SHOREFEST concert series at Sunset Beach is also concluding today at the LG104.3 Stage in the Keg Lounge where Lovecoast and Trooper will be headlining starting at 7:30 p.m.

For those hoping to enjoy a drink on a hot summer day, the Sunsetter Lounge presented by Stanley Park Brewing, is the place to be, located at Sunset Beach for 19+ festival attendees (this year, with extended hours until 9:00 p.m.)

Given the large volume of festival attendees and limited parking in the area, Honda Celebration of Light organizers encourage attendees to walk, cycle or transit to get to the event.
