SFU Surrey Open House – May 28, 2011
SFU Surrey Open House:
On Saturday, May 28th, 2011 Simon Fraser University’s Surrey Campus will host a community open house celebration from 11:00am – 4:00pm. This event will provide the University with a wonderful opportunity to showcase its strengths and enhance its reputation as an institution that is student-centred, research-driven, and community-engaged.
The Open House will be a vibrant event with engaging entertainment, interactive exhibits and displays, and captivating presentations and workshops that highlight SFU’s people, programs, services, and partners. The event will kick off with a celebration of the opening of a 54,000-square-foot new teaching and specialized science and research labs within SFU’s Central City campus in Surrey.
SFU Surrey’s Community Open House will attract families and community groups; an excellent crowd of prospective students, parents, teachers, researchers, and counsellors; many SFU students, faculty, staff, and alumni; and members of the general public.
SFU Alumni Pub Social:
SFU Alumni who attend the Open House will receive a complimentary $10.00 food voucher (only 500 available!) to use at the Central City Brew Pub throughout the entire day – named the Best Brewery in Canada at the 2010 Canadian Brewing Awards.
