Our Top Clinic Picks for the 2026 Arc’teryx Squamish Academy

Whether you climb or just want to learn, the Arc’teryx Climb Academy in Squamish is worth checking out. It runs August 21-23, 2026, in one of the best climbing spots around.

The event brings together climbers of all levels for three days of hands-on clinics led by top athletes and guides. You spend the days building skills in the mountains, then gather in the evenings for films, presentations, and live music. It focuses on education, access, and community.

Two clinics stand out in this year’s lineup:

Everyone Can Climb

This Saturday morning clinic is an intro to adaptive climbing with Craig DeMartino. He covers practical techniques and rigging systems that open up climbing for people with different abilities. You can try the setups yourself in a relaxed group session. It’s open to new climbers, veterans, industry pros, or anyone who knows someone facing barriers. Basic knot and belay knowledge helps, but the main focus is inclusion. It requires a minimum $50 donation, with proceeds supporting adaptive programs in BC.

Teen Spirit

Led by Vikki Weldon on Sunday morning, this clinic is for teens 13-18 who climb indoors and want to move outside. The group covers top-rope anchor setup, cleaning, crack movement, and other foundational outdoor skills. The goal is to build real confidence on real rock. Participants must already know how to top-rope belay.

Check out the full schedule and grab your spot on the Arc’teryx Academy website. Book soon to lock in your preferred session.
