‘A Night to Dream’ Gala raises $440,000 in support of seriously ill children
Last Thursday, October 9th, Vancouverites gathered at the Fairmont Pacific Rim in support of Ronald McDonald House B.C. The beautiful event was attended by nearly 500 guests and featured live and silent auctions that, in addition to ticket sales, helped raise much needed funds towards keeping B.C. families with seriously ill children together.
Thanks to the generous support of the gala guests, $440,000 was raised –the most in the gala’s six year history.
The evening, hosted by Steve Darling and Kristi Gordon of Global News, honoured Gary Segal for his extensive philanthropic contributions to Ronald McDonald House B.C. VIPs and notable community figures also had the chance to listen to the inspiring story of a family who is currently staying at the new House while their three-year-old son receives treatment at BC Children’s Hospital.
