Metropolis at Metrotown Presents Canadian Compass: an interactive, virtual reality exhibit that Celebrates Canada

From coast to coast, Canadians are celebrating Canada’s 150 birthday. And at BC’s largest retail complex, shoppers can experience the sights and sounds of our country’s most iconic landmarks at Metropolis at Metrotown‘s Canadian Compass: Adventures in Every Direction. At this interactive, virtual reality 360° exhibit, shoppers are taken on a 2 minute cross country journey from the majestic Niagara Falls to the edge of the Rocky Mountains and up north to the beautiful Northern Lights in the Northwest Territories.

The Canadian Compass exhibit is free and open to the public daily from 12:00 – 7:00pm in the Grand Court until July 3. Shoppers can win some Canada 150 giveaways and snap selfies with Canada’s iconic landscapes. Guests are encouraged to print digital postcards at the photo booth, with all proceeds being donated to Burnaby Community Services. In addition, all funds from the Metropolis Express train will be donated to Burnaby charities.

Lastly, shoppers can enter at one of Metropolis at Metrotown’ contest kiosks for a chance to win a grand prize $1,000 shopping spree or one of three weekly prizes of a $250 Metropolis at Metrotown gift card.
