Food adventure at Grocery Showcase West 2013
This week the annual Grocery Showcase West will return to the Vancouver Convention Centre, bringing together independent grocers, established brands, and first-time manufacturers and distributors for two days of innovation, networking and new product launches. Following last year’s milestone 50th Anniversary year, 2013 has become the most highly anticipated show in years – and for the first time at GSW 2013, access to the trade show floor will be FREE for retailers.
This year’s show will include local social entrepreneur and restaurateur Mark Brand, who will be giving a keynote presentation on unconventional solutions. Jim Brandle, CEO of Vineland Research and Innovation Centre, will be leading a conference session on the leading innovations in horticulture, and the immense business opportunities for Canada with locally grown ‘world crops’.
The returning New Product Showcase will feature a number of exciting products including the Vancouver based Hagensborg Chocolates, who will be launching their line of internationally flavoured Wild Boar chocolates. Their worldly flavours include the Indonesian inspired garlic, chili, lime and spiced cashews chocolate bar. Stubbs all natural and gluten-free marinades will be showcasing their newest products, authentically flavoured Texas Butter and Chipotle Butter injectable marinades.
