Contest! Theatre Under The Stars unveils 2013 lineup and special Christmas offer

Theatre Under The Stars (TUTS) announces its lineup for the 2013 season, Legally Blonde and How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.

Opening July 15^th, 2013, Legally Blonde, written by Heather Hach, Laurence O’Keefe and Neil Benjamin, is an exhilarating re-imagining of the hit film about sorority girl Elle Woods, her little dog Bruiser and other favourite characters who take Harvard Law School by storm, learning a few things about love and life along the way. Legally Blonde will mark the TUTS directorial debut of the very talented Valerie Easton, who will be joined by music director Danny Balkwill at the helm of this sensational Broadway hit.

Opening July 16^th and performing on alternating nights, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, written by the talented Frank Loesser, filters the era of “Mad Men” through a wonderfully comic lens, and features some of the best songs ever written for the musical theatre. Recent revivals on Broadway have featured Matthew Broderick, Daniel Radcliffe and Nick Jonas. The creative team for How to Succeed will include TUTS alumni Sarah Rodgers (director of previous TUTS hits such as Anything Goes and The Music Man), choreographer Shelley Stewart Hunt (Bye Bye Birdie, Singin in the Rain) and music director Chris King (Thoroughly Modern Millie, The Music Man).

“We are thrilled to be presenting these two shows next summer,” says James Cronk, managing producer of Theatre Under The Stars. “The fun and hijinks of Legally Blonde speak for themselves, and How to Succeed is a sharp and witty musical.  And while both shows have incredible dance numbers How to Succeed really carries the mantle of a Bob Fosse show – the dance numbers are worth the price of admission all by themselves but combined with great comedy and wonderful characters this will be TUTS most unforgettable season EVER!

Theatre Under The Stars (TUTS) is also announcing a special Christmas offer. From now until Christmas TUTS is offering a special 2013 Summer Season Pass for an incredible 35% off the regular season ticket price. The 2013 Summer Season Pass is available for a limited time at the amazingly low price of $125.00 (taxes included) and offers $49 or 35% off regular prices. The pass includes the following:

• Four tickets that can be used all at once or one at a time to any night in the 2013 season (tentatively July 15 to August 24).
• Pass holders will be assigned ‘best-in-house’ seats at time of booking
• Seats can be assigned prior to tickets going on sale to the general public
• Includes rain insurance which allows for complete transferability
