Contest! Metropolis at Metrotown launches Vancouver’s First and Only Gift Card Truck

Metropolis at Metrotown is accommodating busy shoppers in the final stretch of the holiday shopping by launching the Lower Mainland’s first and only gift card truck.

The Metropolis gift card truck will operate much like a customer service centre, allowing shoppers to purchase gift cards up to $500 and pay with cash, debit or credit. It will also allow shoppers to personalize their gift card with a free Polaroid picture taken at time of purchase.

What’s more, the Metropolis gift card truck provides a unique opportunity for local businesses to give back to their community during the holiday season. Each time a local business partners with Metropolis at Metrotown to have the gift card truck parked outside the workplace, the shopping centre will make a donation to the charity of that business’s choice.

During the week of Moonlight Madness, from December 19 – December 24, the gift card truck will also serve as a shopping drive-through, giving shoppers the option of purchasing a Metropolis gift card while avoiding the holiday crowds inside the mall. The truck will be stationed in the parking lot near Hudson’s Bay and a section of parking stalls will be reserved for drive-through customers.

The truck will be running daily until December 24.
