CBC’s 25th Annual Food Bank Day & Open House on December 2, 2011

Friday, December 2, 2011 is the 25th annual CBC British Columbia Food Bank Day. CBC is celebrating the incredible generosity of the CBC audience over the past quarter century. Millions of dollars have been raised and hundreds of thousands of British Columbians who need the services of food banks have benefitted from the annual event.

Again this year CBC is inviting the public to come to the CBC Open House at the CBC Broadcast Centre in downtown Vancouver to see how we make radio, television and digital programming.

Doors are open at 5:30 a.m. with Rick Cluff and The Early Edition live in Studio 700. From 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. you can tour CBC Vancouver’s integrated newsroom, meet your favorite CBC on air personalities and reporters and visit the archives.

All CBC B.C. radio local and regional shows are broadcasting special programs to help inspire you to donate. You can make a contribution to the Food Bank of your choice at the Open House, online anytime or on the phone on Friday December 2, 2011.
