Call2Recycle one-of-a-kind battery drive at Science World – April 24, 2013
Call2Recycle is hosting a one-of-a-kind battery drive on Wednesday, April 24, to launch its newest battery collection site and announce Call2Reycle’s new partnership with Science World. The event will feature a specially constructed, full-size battery scale with special guest, BC Lion’s star quarterback Travis Lulay, and team mascot Leo the Lion.
With over 1,200 battery collection sites in B.C., Call2Recycle is excited to partner with Science World to launch this new collection site, which will be located in Science World’s main entrance area. Science World visitors can now bring used batteries and cellphones to the Call2Recycle kiosk and learn about proper battery recycling.
Everyone is invited to bring used batteries (weighing up to 5 kgs each) and cellphones to the event to help Call2Recycle “tip the scale†and lift Travis Lulay off the ground. Any person bringing 5 or more batteries and/or cell phones will receive 2-for-1 admission to Science World. Learn some fun facts about battery recycling and why it is important to recycle batteries properly. Fun giveaways and prizes will be provided at the event and Travis Lulay and Leo the Lion will be available for photos and autographs.
