On Tuesday, September 9th, Jim Murray welcome us to the newly renovated Brian Jessel BMW luxury flagship dealership. For the past 28 years, Brian Jessel has been the #1 BMW dealership in Western Canada. The dealership experience has not change for the past 50 years. Through the Future Retail strategy, BMW radically rethink and redevelop the physical experience and how the brand interact with consumers. The new dealership incorporate new technologies and digital concepts to improve the consumer shopping experience; while having the amenities of a 5 star luxury hotel like marble fireplace, coffee bar, charging stations and cozy lounge.
The $18 million expansion features a state of the art showroom which can hold up to 25 vehicles, 5 star Isetta Lounge, 70 feet linear waterfalls, and art gallery by local artisans. The 66,000 square feet facility house one of seven BMW i Brand Showroom in Canada, The brand experience centre will showcase the latests BMW EV (electric vehicle) products. The success of the BMW i3 is a positive sign for the auto industry as consumers are demanding alternative drive vehicles. Brian Jessel is selling out the highly sought after BMW i3 even before it hits the showroom.

Media tour of the new dealership
During the tour, we met Leah Gillanders. Leah is one of only 25 women in Canada who are “Red Seal” certified. Leah also created the “Ladies Tech Day” sessions, a complimentary education session for women to learn the basics about their own vehicles. The next session is on Saturday, September 27 at 10:00 am – 11:30 am.
We also met one of the BMW Product Geniuses, Akash Aujla. Buying a new car is a huge decision for anyone, the Product Genius can help customer through every step of the ordering, buying, test drive and handover process. All BMW Geniuses are trained at BMW University in Toronto and have in-depth product knowledge. More importantly, BMW product geniuses are not commissioned salesperson. The product genius is there to explain the products and to help the customer understand the product in more detail.
