BrazilFest 2010 Set to Captivate Vancouver
BrazilFest aims to promote Brazilâ€™s uniqueness by sharing our cuisine, lifestyle and culture, a culture that complements the diverse mosaic that makes up Canada.
The festival will showcase the best Brazil has to offer in music, rhythm, dance, art, soccer, food and cinema.
BrazilFestâ€™s diverse program includes dance and theatre arts (Capoeira, Modern Ballet, Samba); music (Bossa Nova, Choro, AxÃ© Music, Pop, Rock & Roll); performances (Carnaval, Freestyle Soccer, Batucada); visual arts (Paintings, Drawings) and cinema.
The festival will showcase the best Brazil has to offer in music, dance, art, tourism, food and film. It includes a feast of rhythms and music in downtown Vancouver, an art exhibition at the Gathering Place Art Gallery and a screening of one of the most acclaimed Brazilian movies of 2010.
BrazilFest will also raise funds to support the Vila Isabel Charitable Society in Brazil, which is making a difference to the lives of children in Citrolandia in Minas Gerais by fostering their development and improving living conditions.
Brazil Fest is this Saturday, August 21st from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM between Robson and Georgia in Downtown Vancouver.
